My priorities are South films: Trisha

Amy Jackson of Madarasapattinam fame has replaced Trisha in the Hindi remake of Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa. Earlier, Gautham Menon has signed Trisha, who had played the lead role in the Tamil version.

But now, the director has confirmed that Trisha would no longer be  in the project. According to Trisha, she had given confirmed dates from October 1 to 25 to start the shoot of VTV in Hindi. But unfortunately, the director could not utilize those dates and finally the revised shoot dates clashed with the first schedule of Venkat Prabhu-directed Ajith's Mankatha and Kushiga, the Telugu remake of Love Aaj Kal, with Pawan Kalyan.

"I decided to walk out of Gautham's film as my priorities are in the South," Trisha said to a leading daily.

The Hindi version of Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa is produced by Bollywood producer Ambika Hinduja of Serendipity Films. Gautham will use the same tunes of A.R. Rahman for the Hindi version too. This romantic musical revolves around the love between an aspiring film maker Karthik, who wants to make it big in his profession, and a Christian girl Jessie.
