Murali hospitalized

Murali, National Award winning Tamil-Malayalam actor and chairman of the Kerala Sangeeta Nataka Akademi, known for his powerful portrayal of lead roles and character roles, was admitted to a private hospital on Tuesday night following chest congestion. Murali was shifted to the intensive care unit. Hospital sources said that his condition was stable.

Murali, who has acted in more than 300 films, won his first Kerala State Award for best supporting actor for Amaram and later went on to win the State Award for best actor for Aadharam. Murali again won the award for Neythukaran. The same film won him the National Award for best actor in 2002. His�latest Tamil flick is Polladhavan.
