Director Mysskin's Mugamoodi with Jiiva is progressing at a rapid pace in Chennai. The team recently shot an important scene at a fish market in Chennai. In this film, Jiiva will play the role of a super hero, which means he is all set to become Tamil cinema's first super hero. Veteran actor Nageswarra Rao and Prakash Raj will also play prominent roles in the film. Mugamoodi will be the first super hero movie for UTV in Tamil. When asked about the film's status UTV chief Dhananjayan said “Shooting is under brisk progress after the strike ended. Currently, Jiiva’s superhero costume scenes are being shot during the night. His Superman-type look is said to be great and these scenes are new to Tamil cinema. The action sequences in the film are amazing."
Narain, who has earlier worked with Mysskin in the blockbuster Anjaathe, will play the villain. Narain and Jiiva recently underwent special martial arts training with experts flown in from China. Femina Miss India finalist Pooja Hegde will play the role of a journalist and K aka Krishnakumar will compose music for the film. Sathya will take care of camera while Gagin is the editor.
