Minerva with four releases

Leading production house Minerva films has acquired the distribution rights of four more films in Malayalam, after the success of their initial films like One Way Ticket and Malabar Wedding.

Their latest releases are Rupesh Paul's Suresh Gopi starrer Laptop which will grace the theatres in a week, B Venugopal's Thrill, Sukumar's Bad Boy and Shekhar's Vetta. Minerva's last release One Way Ticket which stars Prithviraj and Mammootty made a good opening but could not sustain its lead in the box office and ended as an average fare.

In Laptop, Suresh Gopi dons a very different role with a totally different get-up. He sports a beard in the movie. Produced by E.A. Joseprakash under the banner of Mother Movies, the film, based on a short story 'Parudeesanashtam', is about an unusual bond between an unwed mother and her son. Shwetha Menon plays the mother while Suresh Gopi plays the role of the son, Ravi.

Thrill, directed by debutante B Venugopal, depicts the story of Rahul, an youth working with a software firm, who is striving to give his blind sister to normal life. Produced by N Ramprasad in the banner of A.R. films, the movie features Sathya Prakash, Anil Murali, Anoopkumar, Pooja Vijyan, Prajoosha, Shraddha, Baburaj, Augustine and Kanakalatha.
