Meenakshi: My dressing is misleading!
When Meenakshi made her debut with Karuppusamy Kuthagaitharar, we thought she would fit the role of a traditional girl – the one that sticks to sarees, half sarees and salwar suits with oily plaits. But the movies that followed�revealed her glamorous side, and her recent portfolio has her�in some uber-sexy outfits! Did she make the switch consciously?
“When I did Karuppusamy Kuthagaitharar, that was the only movie offer I had and hence there was no question of a choice between glamour and non-glamour. It was a good role and I did it. The movies I signed�after that happened to be with glam roles. It was no conscious decision. It just happened that way.” But ask what she is most comfortable wearing, and she says with a smile, “I love wearing sarees, but it’s not a very comfortably attire to wear on a regular basis. I am quite comfy in mini skirts and strappy tops, but people cannot judge me based on that. The way I dress misleads people. I am a thorough introvert! I do not party. No pubbing. Nothing. I just keep to myself!”
