Mayandi Kudumbattaar to be completed soon

The shooting of Mayandi Kudumbattaar, in which ten directors act together for the first time in the history of Tamil Cinema,is running on schedule. It appears like the film will definitely be completed in a single round of shooting despite facing its share of roadblocks! Maybe these directors want to set an example of professionalism to Kollywood actors!

Recently, on the sets of Mayandi Kudumbattaar in Vathalagundu, Tharun Gopi injured his leg in a stunt scene, and needed several stitches. Though colleagues and unit members insisted he take rest, Tharun Gopi promptlyreported forshooting next day and completed some less strenuous scenes and talkie portionsthus ensuring theschedule did not get disrupted.

Mayandi Kudumbattaar is an adaptation of a real-life incident that took place in a hamlet, Anappatti, near Madurai Chozhavandhan. This directors’ special is directed by Rasu Madhuravan. Music is by Sabesh-Murali. Tharun Gopi plays the lead role and the other nine directors who act in this film are: Seeman, Jagannath, Ravimariya, Nanda Periyasamy, Manivannan, G.M. Kumar, Senthamizhan, Singappuli and Azhagam Perumal. Poongodi, a Kerala-based model-actress is the heroine.
