The 2011 blockbuster has been one of the few films that has been receiving constant debate for a sequel with Venkat Prabhu recently speaking at an event saying he has fears to do Mankatha 2, while also adding he will be working with Ajith for a film with an official announcement soon.
Meanwhile, actor Chandramouli, who has a prominent role in Venkat Prabhu’s upcoming comedy action heist film, Party, took to his Twitter page to share his excitement over the director’s meeting with ‘Thala’ Ajith by saying we can expect a surprise from the Chennai 600028 filmmaker along with the Mankatha hashtag.

Although Chandramouli’s statement isn’t exactly a direct confirmation that Mankatha 2 will be Venkat Prabhu’s next film with Ajith, fans will be hoping an official announcement is made soon.
