As parts of the country are suffering from droughts, many parts are also flooded due to the incessant rain. Himachal Pradesh is one of the worst-affected as more than 30 people were killed and several stranded in the state’s tribal lands. It was also brought to notice that Manju Warrier along with a film crew is stranded in flood-hit Himachal Pradesh. It was then that the Union Minister intervened into the matter and now according to reports, they have been rescued.

Officials of Union Minister V Muraleedaran informed a leading daily that Manju Warrier along with her crew were rescued from a small village in Himalayas. Talking to the leading daily the official said, “Minister contacted the district authorities of Chatru and they sent rescue team to the spot. The team is now being shifted to the base camp which is 22 km far. As they reach the camp by walk, they will be moved to Manali.” The official also told the daily that communication with them will only be possible once they reach Manali. Manju Warrier was shooting for her upcoming film Kayattam, which is being directed by Sanal Kumar Sasidharan. The team has been shooting in the Himalayas for the past two weeks.
