Eros International Media has bagged the Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka theatrical rights of Suriya’s K.V. Anand directed film Maatraan, produced by AGS Entertainment.
Notably, the Telugu distribution rights of the film were sold to Bellamkonda Suresh's Multi Dimensional Films for a record price recently. The title of the Telugu version is yet to be finalised.
"With Maatraan, Eros continues to explore and establish its presence in the regional film markets. The film promises to be one of its kind action thrillers and we are happy to associate with AGS Entertainment Private Limited to release this much awaited film with the hugely popular Suriya," Sunil Lulla, Managing Director, Eros International Media, said in a press statement.
Maatraan has Kajal Aggarwal as the heroine. Music is by Harris Jayaraj. The film is slated for August 15 release.
