Love story sans villains
Most of the heroes in Kollywood prefer the 'action hero' tag to their names and that is the reason they choose projects in which they can showcase their machoism. But Shakthi, P. Vasu’s son, has no qualms about donning the romantic chocolate boy image. He debuted in Thottaal Poo Malarum, a romantic film and his upcoming film, Mahesh, Saranya Mattrum Palar too is a romantic subject, where he is cast opposite Sandya. This film is devoid of action sequences. In fact, the film has no villains!.
Shakthi said that he did get a lot of offers after Thottaal Poo Malarum, but he did not prefer to accept everything that came his way. He was prepared to wait for the right script, and when director Ravi narrated the script of Mahesh, Saranya Mattrum Palar, he liked the subject and accepted the role. Vidyasagar has composed music for this film which will be released in June.
