Director Pandiraj who attended the audio launch of Kamal Haasan starrer Thoongavanam, revealed an incident that happened on the sets of Idhu Namma Aalu shoot. The director of STR's upcoming flick Idhu Namma Aalu, once asked STR the reason for being late for the shoot, the reply of STR surprised the director as STR said he is bored of acting in films ever since childhood.

The surprised director asked him if he has done more number of films than the inimitable Kamal Haasan had. STR immediately answered with all praise for the legendary actor. The little superstar said that Kamal Haasan is a super human being whereas he is not. He also compared Kamal Haasan to be as Vaali, who has the capability to draw in powers of the character that he plays. He requested the director to not compare him with the evergreen multi-faceted person who has been active in the industry till date ever since the age of 6.

Clearly, Pandiraj's effort to motivate STR did not have the desired impact, but it did bring to light STR's respect for Ulaganayagan
