Director Neeraj Pandey's critically acclaimed Bollywood flick Special 26, featuring Akshay Kumar and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead roles, is all set to be remade in Tamil! The latest buzz is that, the remake will be produced jointly by Lingusamy under Thirupathi Brothers and Neeraj Pandey's Friday Filmworks. The cast and crew is being finalized.

Special 26 is inspired by a real life heist, where a group of 26 people posing as income tax officers raided a jewellery store in Opera House, in Mumbai.
