It's official - 'Thalapathy' Vijay's Leo success meet will be held on Wednesday, November 1, at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai. The much-awaited announcement has come in the form of a special video released by the film's team showing visuals from the chart-topping hit 'Naa Ready' song, including animation of a lion walking, with Vijay also being revealed at a distance from the Bigil audio launch ceremony in 2019. The success meet announcement video carries the message of Vijay taking to the stage along with the words, "HE IS HERE" AND "GET READY FOR THE MIGHTY ROAR OF LEO", and concludes by stating that it has turned out to be a "BLOODY SWEET VICTORY" referring to the film's tagline and it's massive box office success.
The Leo success meet announcement video comes at a time after the team revealed that the film had collected 540+ crores in worldwide gross collections earlier in the day today at the box office making the Vijay-starrer an industry hit. The film is in its 12th day in its theatrical run and is set to continue its good run at the cinemas in the days ahead as there aren't any big releases till Diwali next month. Leo has several big box office records to its credit, including registering the highest day 1 worldwide gross collection for an Indian film in 2023 with 148.5 crores+ on opening day. The Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial featuring chart-topping hits songs and a thunderous background score composed by 'Rockstar' Anirudh Ravichander had also recorded the highest total gross collection for a film in the history of Tamil cinema within seven days of its release last week.
