It's official - 'Thalapathy' Vijay's Leo has hit a new high grossing $24.2 million (Rs. 201 crores) in collections overeseas, the film's distributor announced the big news on Wednesday, November 8. This latest announcement has also revealed that the Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial has set a new all-time Tamil cinema record, with reports stating that the film has already crossed the 600-crore mark in global box office collections. Leo's box office rampage has been a story unlike any other in recent times after it started off on a high note by registering the highest day 1 worldwide gross collection for an Indian film in 2023 nearly smashing its way to the 150-crore mark.
Sharing a picture from the recently held Leo success meet, the overseas distributor announced the latest box office figures while informing fans that the film is still running strong in theatres around the world. According to reports, the Vijay-starrer has also grossed over 200 crore in Tamil Nadu alone and was recently declared to be the highest-grossing Tamil film in Kerala as well. With Leo continuing to witness a good turnout in cinemas everywhere, all sights are set now on the film's lifetime collections, which fans expect to be announced once its theatrical run comes to an end.

Despite a good number of new releases in Tamil and other languages coming out in cinemas across Tamil Nadu this Diwali, Leo is set to continue its theatrical run in a good number of multiplexes and single screens. The film is a massive win for the Vijay, Lokesh Kanagaraj, and composer Anirudh Ravichander trio in their second outing after the blockbuster, Master (2021). Leo has Vijay and Trisha paired together after 15 years, with Sanjay Dutt, Arjun, Mysskin, and Sandy master cast in negative roles, while Gautham Menon, Mansoor Ali Khan, Priya Anand, Madonna Sebastian, Mathew Thomas, Baby Iyal, among others, also make appearances.
