Popular South Korean actress Hwang Jung Eum and her husband Lee Young Don were blessed with their second child on Wednesday morning. The joyous news was announced by her agency in an official press release to Korean news outlets stating, "Hello, this is C-JeS Entertainment. Actress Hwang Jung Eum gave birth to her second son this morning (March 16). The mother and baby are currently both healthy." Without revealing the gender of the baby, the agency continued, "Please show support for actress Hwang Jung Eum, who has welcomed a new family member, and she will greet you in the future with great acting projects. Thank you."

Hwang Jung Eum tied the knot with businessman and former professional golfer Lee Young Don in 2016, with the couple welcoming their first child, a son, in August 2017. The duo's relationship had strained for some time after which they filed for divorce in September 2020. However, Hwang and Lee later reconciled and sorted out their differences to get back together after mediation in July 2021, including abandoning the idea of going their separate ways.

On the work front, Hwang Jung Eum debuted in the world of entertainment with the K-pop girl group Sugar in 2002 as a lead vocalist before making a transition to a solo career in 2004. She later made her acting debut in the 2007 television drama, The Person I Love, before being cast in a number of hit Korean shows. Hwang, who enjoyed a successful career in TV, appeared in shows like Last Scandal, East of Eden, High Kick Through the Roof, Giant, Listen to My Heart, Golden Time, Incarnation of Money, Secret Love, She Was Pretty, Mystic Pop-up Bar and Men are Men to name a notable few.
