The Beast second single titled 'Jolly O Gymkhana' sung by 'Thalapathy' Vijay and composed by 'Rockstar' Anirudh Ravichander is set to be released on March 19, as per the announcement in the song's promo video that came out on Wednesday. Featuring lyrics by Ku. Karthik, the song's promo has received a phenomenal response and features Vijay alongside director Nelson Dilipkumar, Anirudh, actress Pooja Hegde, choreographers Jani master, and Sathish Krishnan, VTV Ganesh, art director DRK Kiran, Redin Kingsley, Aparna Das among others in a jolly dance mood. With the 'Jolly O Gymkhana' song announcement video currently trending on all social networking platforms, there has been chatter on social media regarding the meaning behind the verses in the Beast second single, with lyricist Ku. Karthik in an interview with Galatta gave his first-hand insights.
Ku Karthik explains, " 'Raavamma' means come and is a reference to everyone to come together to be jolly. As for the word 'Raasamma', it means, let's get into a celebratory mood. And, that is why I added those words - 'come on and let's be jolly together'. This is out-and-out a jolly mood song." Speaking further about the process of landing the opportunity to write the 'Jolly O Gymkhana' song, Ku Karthik stated, "I was informed by Anirudh to be prepared to write a jolly song a week before we met. When we came together, another person present in the room had asked, 'Has Nelson come?' And, that is when I realized that I'll be writing a song in Beast. Anirudh then played the tune for me and we came up with the lyrics in half an hour's time for the 'Jolly O Gymkhana' song."
'Thalapathy' Vijay's Beast is scheduled for a grand theatrical release in April, with fans waiting for Sun Pictures to announce the date. The film has been made on a huge scale, with the buzz shooting up, especially after the stupendous response to the 'Arabic Kuthu' song sung by Anirudh and Jonita Gandhi to lyrics penned by Sivakarthikeyan that was released earlier.
