Actress Nikhila Vimal's father MR Pavithran passed away on Wednesday (December 2) due to a cardiac arrest. He was 61 years old when he breathed his last. Pavithran was infected by Covid-19 Corona Virus and was undergoing treatment for the same at Pariyaram Medical College. However, he suffered a cardiac arrest in the hospital and breathed his last. The final rites and cremation will reportedly happen today (Dec 3) at Trichambaram NSS Cemetry. Pavithran had worked in the Statistical Department and also as a teacher at Alakkode Rayarom UP School. It is said that he also served as the State's Joint Secretary and District Secretary of CPI (ML).

Pavithran is survived by his wife, Kalamandalam Vimala Devi and two daughters - Nikhila Vimal and Akhila Vimal. The fans are sharing their condolence messages on social media. Later, she acted as the female lead in Sasikumar's Kidaari, Ma Ka Pa Anand's Panjumittai, etc. She was was last seen in the Karthi - Jyotika starrer Thambi, directed by Jeethu Joseph. Nikhila Vimal played the role of Karthi's love interest in the film.

Up next, she'd be seen as the female lead in the Sibi Sathyaraj starrer Ranga, which is directed by Vinod DL and produced by Vijay K Celliah. The shooting of Ranga has been fully completed and the makers are currently busy with the post-production works. Nikhila is also said to be in talks to act in several other films for which we can expect announcements soon.
