KFCC to honour 15 film personalities

Ever since Dr. Jayamala has taken over as President of the KFCC, she has been actively working for the improvement of the Kannada film industry. She is always in the forefront leading the people and taking Kannada films to new heights.

Her latest action is honouring 15 national and international achievers from the Kannada film industry on 24th September. The persons selected for the honour includes Dr. B. Saroja Devi (Lifetime achievement award at the national level), Dr. Baraguru Ramachandrappa, Dr. K.S. Ashwath, Dr. Srinath plus actress Umasri (Osian’s Film Festival best actress award).

KFCC will honour Girish Kasaravalli, Umasri and Basanthkumar for Gulabi Talkies which won the best film award at the Osian's film festival in Delhi. T.S. Nagabharana and Madhu Bangarappa will receive the honour for winning the national integration award; Master Kishen and Srikanth for winning the best children's film award. Director Lingadevaru, who directed the best socially relevant film and its producer will also receive the honour from KFCC. Director Ananth P. Raju and producer Dhanraj, whose film Koti Chennaiah has won the best regional film will also be honoured at the function which will be conducted at Abhimani Convention Centre in Basaveshwaranagar, Bangalore.
