Priyadarshan’s big-budget historical Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham which stars Mohanlal and Keerthy Suresh has been the talk of the town for quite some time now. The film is being made on a huge budget and will be released in multiple languages. Many are marking this film as Keerthy’s comeback to Malayalam cinema. To this the actress told a leading daily that she has not thought of it as a comeback.

Talking to the leading daily the actress said, “I haven’t thought of it as a comeback at all. In fact, I am doing a film with the very same team I started off this film journey including Priyan uncle and Lal uncle. Also, this time Appu (Pranav Mohanlal), Kalyani (Priyadarshan) and my sister (Revathi Suresh) are also part of the film; so, it’s more or less like working with family.” Keerthy’s character, as mentioned by the director to the daily, is a classical music trained character. “When you tell her a character’s graph, her concern is not how she should look but how to bring out the best performance. For her role in Marakkar, she took the pains to learn veena and play each note perfectly for the movie. Not many know that Keerthy plays the violin, but it’s great that she took the effort to learn another instrument and that too veena, which isn’t easy,” said the filmmaker to the leading daily.

The film’s shoot has already been completed and all attention is being given to the post-production of this heavy-budget film. The movie is tentatively said to be releasing by 2019 end. Stay tuned!
