Produced by Studio Green, Alex Pandian is Karthi and Anushka's upcoming movie, under Suraaj's direction. For a stunt sequence in this movie, the makers have rented out a train for 15 days, and are filming the fight scenes. Paiyya villain Milind Soman returns to playing the baddie, beside Suman, in this movie.
In this fight scene, Karthi and Anushka traveling in a train, are pursued by Milind Soman and Suman in a helicopter, while their henchmen follow the train in 10 cars. As part of the scene, Karthi and Anushka will have to jump from the roof of the moving train, into the river, while crossing a bridge. The lead pair performed the stunt, without even using body doubles. The train scene has been picturised on the 30 Km stretch between Mysore and Krishnarajasagar Dam.
This scene, shot at an expense of Rs. 2 crores, also had nearly 300 junior artistes, apart from the lead stars. Suraaj, who has written the story, screenplay and dialogues and is directing the movie says, "Studio Green is one company which doesn't mind the expense, when they want excellence. This movie is coming up, just as per their expectations. This Rs. 2 crore train scene is just an example of how huge this movie is shaping up to be, and there is quite a lot more in the movie."
All this only goes to show that Alex Pandian will surely be one extravagant offering from Karthi.
