Karan says 'no' to superstitions

Bollywood, as we know, is a confluence of superstitions, beliefs, idiosyncrasies, personal prejudices, and so on and so forth. Ace director Karan Johar is no exception to all this. Everyone in the industry knows about Karan's superstition for the alphabet K in his film titles. The director's three hit movies – Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham and Kal Ho Na Ho– all started with the letter 'K'. However, the director left behind his 'K' fixation in Dostana and still, it met with success at the box office. The success of Dostana seems to have changed the director's take on superstitions. He is all set to drop his other superstitions also. “I used to think a specific word is lucky for me. But then, I personally feel that contemporary thinking is extremely important and that we shouldn’t restrict ourselves with superstitious beliefs. So, I’ve consciously decided not to let superstitions rule over me,” Karan reportedly opined on his changing beliefs. Way to go, Karan!
