Kanaka is missing!
Popular South Indian actress Kanaka, who retired from films in 2000 after appearing in some super hits including Karagatakaran, Godfather and Narashimham in Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu, is missing from Saturday morning onwards, the Chennai police said.
Daughter of late actress Devika, Kanaka was staying alone in her house at Annamalaipuram, Chennai. She was married three years back and divorced her husband recently.
She started her career as heroine in much acclaimed Karagatakaran (Tamil) in 1989 along with Tamil stars Ramarajan, Goundamani and Senthil. After doing a few average Tamil movies like Adisiya Piravi, Periya Kudumbum and Samundi, she migrated to Telugu and Malayalam where she starred opposite major stars like Mammootty and Mohanlal. She was last seen onscreen in Narashimham (2000).
