Debutante director Vadivel , a former assistant of Mysskin joins the list of emerging directors of Tamil film industry who want to make different kinds of movies. His upcoming flick Kallappadam is about the folk art 'Koothu'. The central characters in this film are a director, a cameraman, a music director and an editor. After screen testing many aspiring actors, the director and the producer Anand Ponniraivan thought of a better idea, to cast their own crew in prominent roles. Director Vadivel will enact the director"s role, his cameraman Sreerama Santhosh, an assistant of PC Sreeram, will play the role of the cameraman , music director K will be the music director and editor Gaugin will play the role of the editor.
"We were able to deliver the ideas we conceived because the script was well and this will be evident in every frame," said the directot. Lakshmipriya plays the female lead and director Mysskin has crooned for a song 'Vellakara Rani'.
