K.S. Chithra's daughter's funeral held
The funeral of playback singer K.S. Chithra's eight-year-old daughter Nandana, who died after falling in a swimming pool at a Dubai villa on Thursday morning, took place in Chennai on Friday evening.
Chithra had been to Dubai along with her family to perform in A.R. Rahman's music show and was staying in a villa there when the accident happened. Nandana, a differently-abled child, fell into the pool while playing. She was born to Chithra and Vijayashankar in 2002, 15 years after their marriage.
Chithra strongly believed that the blessing of a child was bestowed upon her after she sung a devotional song in the movie 'Nandanam'. Hence, she named her daughter Nandana.
