Slumdog Millionaire won eight Oscars, and the world has suddenly focused on� Bollywood. As each member of the movie’s lead cast gets hooked up in bigger Hollywood projects, it paves the way for greater Hollywood-Bollywood collaborations in the near future.�We have just heard that Irrfan Khan, who played the rather irritating cop in Slumdog Millionaire, is floating on cloud nine and just refuses to get his feet back on earth. The reason? Not the Oscars, but Julia Roberts!
"On the day after the Oscars ceremony, we were doing a photo-feature for a magazine when I was told Julia Roberts was close by, and asked if I would like to meet her? I said she didn't know me. But I was told she knew about my work and I ran to meet her. It turned out Julia had seen The Namesake very recently. She was genuinely pleased to meet me. 'What a beautiful film you've given us,' she said. I swooned," he said, Adding, "She was as cheerful and warm and full of compassion as she appears on screen. But I could've killed myself for not carrying DVDs of my other films, so I could give them to Julia. I'm so badly organized."
