Josh in Tamil and Telugu

Producer S.V. Babu's super hit Kannada film Josh, which recently completed 100 days in seven theatres in Karnataka, will be soon remade in Tamil and Telugu. The Tamil version is expected to go on floors by October.

Bollywood's leading Rajashri Productions and UTV Spot Boys reportedly have plans to remake this film in Hindi as well. More details are awaited.

Starring Rakesh, Poorna and Nithya in the lead roles, Josh was directed by Shivamani. It tracks the life of a student Rocky (Rakesh) from 10th standard till he graduates. Rocky is not very interested in studies, nor does he have great aspirations. All he wants is some girl to love him. This attitude worries Rocky's parents, who try to convince him of the ground realities, but in vain.

Rocky falls in love with his co-student Meena (Poorna), but she rejects him. Rocky's friends are also naughty like him but they are all good�at studies. Meena too forges ahead to pursue a career in medicine. Later Rocky meets another girl Meera (Nithya); she is also not interested in him since he is irresponsible. But Rocky, who has fallen deeply in love, does not care.

He misses the job�interview his father�arranges for him. This makes his father very angry since he had given a large bribe to get the job for his son. The incident sparks a big fight between the father and son and both yell at each other. Finally, on convocation day, Rocky realizes his mistakes. His parents and his friends do not desert him at this time and they all support him to make up for�lost time.
