The wait is all set to come to an end as the third single from Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan will be out on Tuesday, August 29. The song titled 'Not Ramaiya Vastavaiya' will be released tomorrow in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages, and feature the vocals of Anirudh Ravichander, Vishal Dadlani, and Shilpa Rao to the lyrics penned by Kumaar. Based on the Shree 420 (1955) yesteryear hit song 'Ramaiaya Vastavaiya' composed by the legendary Shankar-Jaikishan duo featuring lyrics written by Shailendra, and sung by iconic singers Lata Mangeshkar and Mohammed Rafi, the version in Jawan by Anirudh is more of a dance track, with a teaser now released showing Shah Rukh Khan grooving to the beats.
There's been tremendous buzz surrounding Jawan's third single after the first two songs, 'Zinda Banda' and 'Chaleya', received a phenomenal response and are currently reigning at the top of the charts. In the 'Not Ramaiya Vastavaiya' song teaser, we see Shah Rukh Khan taking the to dance floor alongside a number of dancers, and moving in tandem to Anirudh's electronic dance music score. With 'Not Ramaiya Vastavaiya' releasing tomorrow, all sights will next be set on the Jawan trailer, which is expected to be announced to come out in the days ahead along with the film's audio launch set to be held soon.
Jawan is Shah Rukh Khan's second big release of 2023 and the 'Bollywood Baadshah' will be looking to go past the collections of his Pathaan, which came out in January and earned more than 1000 crores at the box office. The upcoming film is carrying tremendous expectations as it marks the Hindi cinema debut of a number of leading Tamil film fraternity names starting with filmmaker Atlee, who delivered three back-to-back blockbusters with 'Thalapathy' Vijay - Theri (2016), Mersal (2017), and Bigil (2019). Likewise, Jawan also is the big Bollywood launchpad for 'Lady Superstar' Nayanthara, 'Rockstar' Anirudh, cinematographer GK Vishnu, and editor Ruben, while 'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi, who appeared in an important role in Mumbaikar earlier this year, is cast the antagonist. The film will also see Deepika Padukone making a special appearance, while Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, and Sunil Grover have been cast in crucial roles.
