Introducing director Manisha Koirala
After acting in over 70 films in a career spanning more than 20 years, actress Manisha Koirala, who is currently busy promoting her latest film I Am, directed by Onir, is all set to don the director's cap.
Reportedly, the actress is working on a script, a blend of fact and fiction, and the film is expected to go on the floors in the second half of 2011.
Manisha, who claimed that her directorial venture will not be a typical masala flick, said in an interview: "It’ll be more of a docu-drama or a fictional story inspired by realvlife incidents, something that Mani sir (Mani Ratnam) does a lot in his films." Notably, the actress recently earned a diploma in film making from New York.
