IFFI 2009 at Goa: Film Bazar India 2009
The Film Bazar India 2009, an initiative of the National Film Development Corporation, which coincides with the ongoing IFFI, witnessed various activities like 'Screenwriters Lab' and 'Co-production Market' on its opening day.
Nina Lath Gupta, Managing Director of NFDC, said the third edition of the Film Bazar will basically concentrate on sales and distribution of films produced in India.
'The Work in Progress Lab' is another section at the Film Bazar for feature films at a rough-cut stage, whose makers are seeking comments from seasoned film professionals from the international community to better gauge how their work will be received by the international market and in turn maximise the potential of these films at film festivals and international markets, she stated.
Nina also said that the 'Screenwriters Lab' this year has selected six screenplays out of the total 92 applications and the screenwriters would discuss them with experts, before films are made based on these scripts.
