IFFI 2009 at Goa: Asin

Asin is on Cloud Nine at having had the opportunity to share the dais with veteran actress Waheeda Rehman at the inaugural function of IFFI.

"It was a heaven-sent chance to be at close quarters with an artiste of such rare quality. Waheedaji complimented me formy good work in Ghajini and wanted to know more of my classical dance training. I have heard a lot of Waheeda's prowess in Kathak and here she enquired as to who is my guru and similar details," Asin said, brimming with joy.

Talking of London Dreams, Asin said she is slowly coming to gripswith Bollywood. "Ten years down the line, I would like to be remembered as a performing artiste. Bollywood is a bigger platform but ideally, I would like to have a balance with South Indian films. The advantage of working in Hindi films is the phenomenal reach; one success takes you to enviable heights."
