Scriptwriter-turned-director B. Unnikrishnan's upcoming Suresh Gopi starrer I.G., produced by Mahi under the banner of Super films, isscheduled to hit theatres on April 7. The movie willbe released in 65 theatres all across Kerala. After Smart City (2006), an average flick at the box office, this is the second time that B. Unnikrishnan teams up with Suresh Gopi.

I.G. is a cop story which shows how youths are trained by Lashkar-e-Taiba (LET) in Pakistan to be sent as suicide bombers in various parts of our country. Suresh Gopi plays IG Durga Prasad, an Anti-Terrorism Squad chief. This police thriller is scripted by the director himself.

Meanwhile, will director B. Unnikrishnan's next venturel mark the Malayalam debut of Tamil super heroine Trisha? If reports are to be believed, Trishaisthe heroine in this yet-to-be-titled film with Dileep as hero. But it is also heard that Unnikrishnan's Trisha starrer would have superstar Mohanlal as the hero, not Dileep, as Mohanlal and Unnikrishnanhad agreedlast year to make a film under the banner of the same Vaishakha Movies. However, the details are yet to be announced.
