Hiphop Tamizha Adhi's last film Sivakumarin Sabadham came out as a theatrical release and took a good opening, with the composer turned actor set to be seen next in the rural family entertainer Anbarivu. Directed by newcomer Aswin Raam, the upcoming film has been produced by blockbuster production banner Sathya Jyothi Films banner and features Hiphop Tamizha Adhi playing a dual role for the first time in his career. With production wrapped up a couple of months back, it has now been announced that Anbarivu will be skipping a theatrical release and premiere on DisneyPlus Hotstar on January 7.

In that light, DisneyPlus Hotstar has released the much-awaited Anbarivu trailer that gives us a sneak peek into the plot that is centered around two families and various conflicts between them. The trailer starts off showing one Hiphop Tamizha as Anbu hailing from a village in Tamil Nadu, who is raised by his grandfather played by veteran actor Napoleon. The Anbarivu trailer then shifts to international waters and has the second Hiphop Tamizha as Arivu who comes under the tutelage of Papanasam fame actress Asha Sarath. We next see a conflict arising that leads to both Anbu and Arivu coming to learn about their heritage and come together against a bigger enemy. Anbarivu is the second successful collaboration for Hiphop Tamizha with Sathya Jyothi Films after they earlier tasted success with Sivakumarin Sabadham, which the composer-actor co-produced under his Indie Rebels banner.

Anbarivu has two female leads among whom are Sivappu Manjal Pachai fame Kashmira Pardeshi and Telugu actress Shivani Rajashekar (actor Rajashekar's daughter). The film includes a vast supporting cast featuring the likes of Vidaarth, Saikumar, Asha Sharath, KPY Dheena, and others. Anbarivu also has a sound technical team, with the film's story written by Pon Parthiban, while Aswin Raam has served as a co-writer, followed by Madhesh Manickam handling the cinematography and Pradeep E Ragav taking care of the editing.
