Silambarasan TR's Maanaadu which opened big at the box office with highly positive reviews from the critics and the general audience has entered the fourth week today (December 17) holding around 125 screens. Holding more than 100 screens in its fourth week is a big feat, considering the current trade scenario and this indeed proves the humongous success of the movie. One has to note that the film has managed to hold despite this week's new releases that include two mega biggies - Spider-Man: No Way Home and Allu Arjun's Pushpa: The Rise.

Following a massively successful run in the theatres, Maanaadu is now all set for its digital premiere and the official announcement regarding the same has been made. It has already been announced that the OTT streaming rights of Maanaadu has been sold to the Sony Liv platform and the latest update is that the film will be out on December 24. Maanaadu had released in theatres on November 25 and the OTT release will now be on December 24, one month after its theatrical release. The public who could not watch the film in the theatres can comfortably watch the film from December 24 and we can expect the movie to record a solid amount of viewership.

Maanaadu is directed by Venkat Prabhu and has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. SJ Suryah plays the key antagonist and his face-off against Silambarasan TR was one of the major highlights of the film. Produced by Suresh Kamatchi under the banner of V House Productions, the film has Kalyani Priyadarshan playing the female lead. With cinematography by Richard M N than and editing by Praveen KL, Maanaadu has SA Chandrasekhar, Y Gee Mahendran, Vaagai Chandrasekhar, Karunakaran, Premgi Amaren, Manoj Bharathiraja, Daniel Annie Pope, Aravind Akash, and others in supporting roles.
