British actor Tom Felton, best known for portraying Draco Malfoy from the Harry Potter films, was rushed to a hospital on Thursday after he collapsed during a celebrity golf match. The Harry Potter star suffered a medical emergency towards the end of the celebrity run of the Europe vs United States golf showdown, which took place at Whistling Straits Golf Course in Wisconsin. "In today’s Ryder Cup Celebrity Match, actor and musician Tom Felton experienced a medical incident on the course while participating for Europe. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment." the Professional Golfers’ Association of America said in a statement. No further details were provided by the association regarding the incident.

Photos have been doing the rounds on social media showing Tom Felton looking pale and shaky, while being surrounded by other players, including volunteers and officials from the tournament, who escorted him out of the golf course. Felton was laid on a golf cart after being helped to his feet and then driven away to a hospital nearby for further medical examination. The Harry Potter star, who also had a recurring role on the hit TV superhero series, The Flash, was playing in a two-person scramble competition, which saw many notable personalities from sports and entertainment participating as well.

Tom Felton collapsed after playing 11 holes with teammate Teemu Selanne, a former professional ice hockey player, with the incident occurring a day after the actor celebrated his 34th birthday on Wednesday (22 September). Posting a picture of himself all smiles on Instagram, Felton wrote "33 years done — good lord it’s been so much fun getting here — yet, somehow, I still feel the best is yet to come — thank you all for your love , support & sense of humour — let’s keep a good thing going — to the next 33."
