Hamsavardhan returns

Hamsavardhan, son of yesteryear actor Ravichandran, is back after a long hiatus. He is doing two films at present – Guru 2009 and Bomman.

Hamsavardhan is counting on these two films heavily. He plays a slum-dweller in Guru and a cop in Bomman. He is the latest to join the list of heroes who go the extra mile in portraying their film roles. Aiming to be popular by his name rather than as actor Ravichandran’s son, Hamsavardhan has dedicated his time and energy to these two films.

In preparation for his role of a slum-dweller in Guru, he spent considerable time in a slum and noted the behaviour of its residents. Though the conditions were extremely unfamiliar and harsh, the actor endured them to make his role look more realistic.

In Bomman, he plays an Assistant Commissioner of Police; so he has plans to meet many top police officials to observe their lifestyle, body language and habits.

So the number of heroes who take acting seriously and try to breathe life into their roles  is increasing day by day. It only augments the sheen of Kollywood.
