Hamsalekha: Patron of Arts

National Award winning music director Hamsalekha is organizing a big cultural show of dance and music on 31st July. The show is called ‘Jeevedha Bombe’ and its aim is to portray the strength of regional culture and tradition. The huge show, based on a folk tale, will feature 150 students; more than 100 artists and technicians will be taking part in it.

 

Hamsalekha, who is a patron of native talent and art, is contemplating another novel project named ‘Talent 3000’ aimed at discovering tribal talents and nurturing them for the future. He is also planning an institute, the Hamsalekha Desi Vidya Samsthe – Bachelor of Performing Art institute, at Mudhugere in Channapatna Taluk on 50 acres of land. It is heard that the Dravidian University has already given its consent to start the institute.
