Master Kishen, the youngest film director in the world, is being bestowed with honours all around the world. First, he won the National Award (2006) for best children’s film for his Care of Footpath. Then the Karnataka Government offered him a plot in the city. A Japanese TV channel came forward to make a documentary on Kishen and now, he has been honoured in a film festival in Greece.

Master Kishen’s film had a special screening at the international film festival conducted in Athens by Emotion Pictures from June 21st to 23rd. This was the second film festival of documentaries conducted by Emotion pictures and the theme was disability. Master Kishen’s film Care of Footpath was selected for the festival because it dealt with social disability.

The screening, conducted on the 23rd before a large jampacked audience, was attended by the Indian ambassador to Greece, the embassy staff along with international media, film critics and representatives of the Greece film centre.
