We all know that director Gowthaman is a strong supporter of the Lankan Tamils and that favours their cause. The director had apparently heard about a major satellite channel planning to conduct one of it's most famous reality shows in Colombo. Gowthaman believes that neither Sri Lanka nor Colombo is currently any place to have fun through a show, because of the civil wars that ravaged the Lankan shores recently.
The director also appreciated our Honorable CM J. Jayalalitha's support towards the Sri Lankan Tamils.
