Now this is one of the most exciting news circulating these days. Ajith and Gautham Menon, the director who has given some critically-acclaimed hit films like Kaaka Kaaka and Vettaiyadu Villaiyadu, are going to team up for a film,tentatively named Surangani and to be produced by Sivaji Productions.
But the name has already been registered by some other producers; Sivaji Productions are in talks with these producers regarding the rights. The film will have Ajith again playing the role of a gangster after his hit remake Billa. The film is about a small-time gangster who rises from humble beginnings to become the world’s biggest Don. Sameera Reddy, who has acted in Gautham Menon’s Varanam Aayiram opposite Suriya, will play the role of the Don’s moll.
Camerawork will be handled by Nirav Shah, who was the cinematographer for Ajit’s Billa also. The film will start shooting on November 1st and is expected to be ready for release on April 14, 2009.
