Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu is a hit venture at the box office and director Gautham Vasudev Menon is quite a happy man with the reception that the film has got. The film had its core story penned by acclaimed writer Jeyamohan while the screenplay and dialogues were worked together by Gautham Menon and Jeyamohan. With the film turning out to be a success, Gautham Menon, in his recent exclusive interview with Galatta Tamil, revealed that meeting Jeyamohan and associating with him has been one of his most memorable and important moments of his life. He thanked director Vetri Maaran for introducing him to Jeyamohan.

While talking about it, Gautham Menon revealed some super exciting details that no one knew about. "This collaboration with Jeyamohan, I find it to be an important event in my life. Vetri (Maaran) is responsible for that. I and Vetri were supposed to direct a film based on Jeyamohan's script. He (Vetri Maaran) was to do the first half and I was to direct the second half of the film. That was how we planned the project during the pandemic lockdown season and it was a very interesting collaboration for us. The film couldn't happen at that time, but my association with Jeyamohan continued from there.

We started talking, discussing ideas, and that is how we ended up working on Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu. At the end, I have now developed a very good rapport with him, sharing a good friendship", said Gautham. Well, ain't this interesting to know?. It would have indeed been very new to have a film directed by two filmmakers. Though the film did not happen as planned, let us hope that the movie materializes sometime in the coming years and let us keep our fingers crossed until then. Gautham Menon is preparing for the sequel of Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu which is expected to go on floors next year
