Film festival begins today
A three-day film festival, organized by the Department of Information and Public Relations in association with cultural organisations Kala and Bankmen’s Club, will begin on Tuesday at Tagore Centenary Hall, Kozhikode. The festival will be inaugurated by Madhu Kaithaprom, winner of the National Award for debutant film director.
The inaugural film is Jatingaa Ityaadi in Assamese, directed by Sanjeeb Sabha Pandit. Tamil film Ammuvagiya Njan will be screened next. Organizers said that two films would be shown every day. Admission to the festival is free.
