Fashionable K.S. Ravikumar!

It was a cool, wet evening in Chennai, on Thursday, October 29, when the 8th lifestyle magazine of Chennai, "Salaam Chennai" was launched. The man on the cover? Karun Raman, a well-known choreographer from Chennai. The chief guest? The man who introduced Karun years ago in the Tamil film industry, veteran director K.S. Ravikumar! KSR looked pretty stylish himself, in jeans and a deep blue shirt with metallic accents. When he was called on stage, with his trademark humour and honesty he saidthat he may have introduced Karun in the industry with Aethiri, but now he has a lot to learn from him... like speaking in English, for example! The elite set socialite crowd that was present couldn't help but laugh and cheer for KSR!

K.S. Ravikumar is one of the few people who has managed to be as much a part of the Chennai non-film social and business fraternity, as he has in films.

Info: Karun Raman's grandfather was none other than producer Alagappa Chettiar, which could explain hisnatural leanings toward cinema! Salaam Chennai's launch party featured a fashion show with designs by Julie Vergis and a dance performance by John Britto Dance Co. Actress Nila, who was visiting Chennai as the advisory board member of the Chennai International Fashion Week, actors Yuva and Ajai Jose also attended the event.
