Fans and artist bids adieu to Chithra's daughter
The funeral of popular singer K.S. Chithra's eight year old daughter Nandana was held in Chennai on Friday.
Nandana, a differently-abled child, fell into the pool while playing at her villa in Dubai. The singer and her troupe were in Dubai to participate in a musical extravaganza when the incident took place. Chithra and her husband Vijayashankar were blessed with a daughter after nearly 15 years of marriage. Being a devotee of Lord Krishna, Chithra named her daughter after singing a devotional song in the Malayalam movie Nandanam. Sreekumaran Thampi, S.P. Balasubramanyam, Ilaiyaraaja, S. Janaki, P. Suseela, Sharath, Rajamani, Sujatha, actor Ajith accompanied by his wife Shalini, Mano, Shylaja and sportsperson Shiny Wilson visited Chithra's house to pay their condolences.
Hundreds of people from all walks of life threw flowers and paid their last respects in silence.
