Double tragedy strikes Jennifer
Singer-actress Jennifer Hudson’s mother and brother were found shot dead in their Chicago home earlier today. Jennifer’s seven-year-old nephew who resides there, remains missing.
Neighbours claim to have heard gun shots between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m., but emergency services were called for only at 3 p.m. when Jennifer’s cousin, who stopped by at the house found Jennifer’s mum Darnell Donnerson shot in the head in the living room. When police official arrived on the scene minutes later, they made a search of the house, only to find another dead body – Jennifer’s 29-year-old brother Jason. He had died from bullet wounds to his chest.
Police have arrested a suspect, William Balfour, in the double shooting. William was married to Jennifer’s sister Julia. Her son Julian King, is still missing, while officials question William about the whereabouts of the child.
