Legendary director K. Balachander was admitted to the Kauvery hospital, day before yesterday after his assistant found him unconscious in his room. The doctors have since been treating him with utmost care.
Yesterday, a press release from the hospital stated that the director has developed a urinary infection and has been taken to the ICU for treatment. His general condition seems to be stable.
Rumours were surfacing online that K. Balachander had passed away. We request everybody not to believe in such baseless rumours and people should also refrain from spreading such false news.
