National Award-winning Tamil actor 'Chiyaan' Vikram's son Dhruv Vikam has announced that the official music video for his next non-album independent single track titled 'Poomadhiye' will be releasing on Sunday, May 7. Taking to Instagram, the actor-singer revealed that the song is now out on all streaming platforms, while also sharing a promo of the music video to be launched this Sunday. The 'Poomadhiye' song promo shows Dhruv as a young professional presumably in the IT sector chilling out with his friends at a roadside tea shop before walking on an overbridge and then going his own way on the Rajiv Gandhi IT Expressway in Chennai.

The 'Poomadhiye' official video has been directed by Dhruv Vikram himself, while the song is composed by blockbuster music director Santhosh Narayanan to the lyrics written by Vivek. Although the promo doesn't reveal much, we can expect it to be soft and breezy moving romantic ballad along the lines of his previous non-album song 'Manase', which turned out to be a huge hit last year. Incidentally, 'Poomadhiye' is the second time Dhruv is collaborating with Santhosh Narayanan after he composed the chart-topping hit 'Missing Me' in Mahaan, which also starred 'Chiyaan' Vikram under Karthik Subbaraj's direction. Dhruv Vikram, who became a rage among Tamil audiences after his explosive performance in his acting debut in Adithya Varma in 2019, came out firing on all cylinders alongside his father Vikram in last year's Mahaan, which premiered directly on Amazon Prime Video. Playing the role of a police officer, the young actor's performance received rave reviews from fans and critics. Dhruv will be seen next in a sports venture revolving around kabaddi under Pariyerum Perumal, Karnan and the upcoming Maamannan fame Mari Selvaraj's direction. Speaking at an event recently, the filmmaker revealed that the film will be a biopic on Indian Kabbadi player and Arjuna Awardee Manathi P. Ganesan.
