Singer Nithyashree's husband committed suicide by jumping into the Adyar river! This came as a shock to one and all! However, all doubts of foul play were eliminated, when Nithyashree revealed that her husband Mahadevan was suffering from depression for the past 5 years, after his mother's demise! This was corroborated by Mahadevan's driver Suresh, who revealed that he was indeed acting weird for the past few years, and on the fatal day, Mahadevan stopped the car on Kotturpuram bridge, and without any warning, jumped into the river below.
Following this incident, Suresh called Nithyashree and then the Police, to inform them of the happenings! It has also been found that Mahadevan was undergoing treatment for depression at the Apollo Hospital in Chennai, for the past 5 years! A sad affair indeed! Our deepest condolences to Nithyashree, and we pray that she finds strength to overcome this tragic loss!
