Meanwhile, there are reports that the director wanted to cast Priyanka Chopra opposite Vijay, but it did not happen due to some unknown reasons. Now, he has approached Deepika Padukone for the role, for which the actress has demanded a very high remuneration. However, an official confirmation is yet to be received.
