Crazy Gopalan gets impressive collection
Malayalam actor Dileep's Christmas release Crazy Gopalan, a hilarious comedy thriller directed by debutante Deepu Karunakaran, fetched an impressive collection of more than 1.2 crores from 70 theatres in its first four days, more than�other recent Dileep starrers.
Though the film could not earn rave reviews, the makers strongly believe that with some more holidays left in this Christmas-New Year season, the movie will be a great success like Ee Parakkum Thalika, CID Moosa and Meesa Madhavan. Reports said that the 'Gopala' song, continuously aired in TV channels, has already become a huge hit among children, the greatest fans of the star.
Crazy Gopalan is�about the mysterious Kattila Gopalan (Dileep), a thief in Oonjaladi village, whose peculiarity is to steal only the Kattila (door jambs) of houses under construction. His thefts have been puzzling the villagers for a long time. Harishchandran (Harisree Asokan) is the ill-fated carpenter who ends up getting blamed for everything Gopalan does. When the villagers make plans to capture Gopalan, he is forced to shift his activity to the city; Harishchandran too turns up in the same city for work...
