Salman Khan has just recently finished wrapping up the shoot for his highly anticipated action-thriller espionage film, Tiger 3, along with Katrina Kaif who will reprise her role as the female lead and Emraan Hashmi as the film's antagonist. But that does not mean the Bollywood superstar is going to kick back and relax given his extremely tight schedule. He is on schedule to hustle for the shoot of Mohan Raja's Godfather starring Chiranjeevi in which he will be making an extended cameo appearance. This will be his first step of many into the Telugu film industry.

Sallu Bhai has officially joined as one of the star cast members in Chiranjeevi's upcoming film. The Megastar on Wednesday took to his Twitter to confirm the news. He graciously welcomed Salman by sharing a picture of them together along with a caption that read, "Welcome aboard #Godfather , Bhai @BeingSalmanKhan ! Your entry has energized everyone & the excitement has gone to next level. Sharing screen with you is an absolute joy. Godfather is the official remake of the Malayalam political action thriller titled Lucifer starring Mohanlal in the lead role alongside Prithviraj Sukumaran, Vivek Oberoi, Tovino Thomas and Manju Warrier. Salman will be taking up Prithviraj's role in the Telugu version. Godfather's shooting is currently going in full swing. It is directed by Mohan Raja, known for directing movies like Thani Oruvan and Velaikkaran. It is produced by Konidela Production Company and Super Good Films. The film stars Chiranjeevi in the titular role with Nayanthara as the female lead alongside Satyadev Kancharana, Harish Uthaman, Jayaprakash, Sachin Khedkar, Vamsi Krishna and Nassar in key roles.

Salman Khan was last seen in the 2021 action film Antim: The Final Truth. He will next be seen in Tiger 3 which is currently under post-production and expected to hit the screens on 21 April 2023. He will also be making a cameo in the Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan.
